Look here each month for a schedule of teachers volunteering their time to assist students in 3108 after school. The specialty of each student is identified on the calendar, but teachers may be able to assist outside of their 'teachable' subjects.
Mathify
Durham District School Board (DDSB) partners with Mathify to provide students in Grades 7 to 10 with free online math tutoring. By using Mathify, you will get one-on-one tutoring support from an Ontario certified math teacher.
Register for Mathify
You can register for Mathify online. To create an account, you will need to provide your:
- Email address
- Ontario Education Number (found on your report card)
- Grade
- School Board
Students can also register and login through the VLE (D2L Brightspace) accessible through the Student Mobile Campus.
Online tutors
Mathify tutors are available Sunday to Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and are accessible on all devices. Each grade has an online discussion room where students can:
- Interact with tutors using voice and text
- Solve math problems with tutors using interactive whiteboards
Create a math portfolio of their work and review lessons
24-hour support
If you are unable to attend the online tutoring session, you can still receive math support. Mathify provides 24-hour access to your personalized math portfolio and other resources that can be used from home or school.
